More Information

I Was going to choose the one which looks best for me! But Then Yesterday I read a local newpaper where were Tested 2 GTS 320 VGA
Point of View And Sparkle
Sparkle GeForce 8800GTS, PCI-E, 320MB, 320bit, 500/1600 MHz
Point of View GeForce 8800GTS, PCI-E, 320MB, 320bit, 500/1600 MHz
And the Results were i got confused was in testing DOOM 3
In Ultra High resolution mode
Where Sparkle got some points
But Point of View had n/a
How come when only difference is in Manufacturer but there is such a huge Difference ?
There was not given any reason why there was n/a in Point of View video cards...
As I understand it could be problems with Drivers, because 8800 Gts should handle such a game.
Or There is a Difference ?
Then what should i choose from these possibilities ?
XFX GeForce 8800GTS, PCI-E, 320MB, 320bit, 500/1600 MHz
BFG GeForce 8800GTS, PCI-E, 320MB, 320bit, 500/1600 MHz
eVGA GeForce 8800GTS, PCI-E, 320MB, 320bit, 500/1600 MHz
Sparkle GeForce 8800GTS, PCI-E, 320MB, 320bit, 500/1600 MHz
and ofcourse Point of View - Which i didn't like anyway (looks pretty lame) and after there test i don't want it more than before!

I like the way how Sparkle looks like ... But if other card is better.. Than i can forget about Outlooking of VGA.

More Information

as far as i know (which is not much)

The three makes you listed are very reliable, specially XFX (my last card was from them). Not so sure about point of view and sparkle

More Information

If all of the cards run the same speed then there should be no difference in the performance. Since all of those cards are the same, it all comes down to personal preference. I happen to like eVGA and BFG, but thats just me. If you can't decide, go with whats cheapest since they are all the same.

As far as you system goes, go with the 2x1gig solution to give yourself room for further expansion should you decide you need to get 4 gigs. This is also my opinion, but I would get a beefier PSU. 500 watts seems to be cutting it close for your system especially if you want to overclock. 600-700 would be more on the safe side.

More Information

Yupp .. I have already choosen 2x1gig
XFX seems to bee cheapest ( ~6$ Lower than Sparkle and Point of View) But BFG and eVGA are like ~60$ Higher.
I also thought that if VGA's are the same they are same... but that test made me Confused...
Maybe i should make a Voting pole so i shouldn't Blame my self of choice ?

More Information

I like eVGA, step-up program and lifetime warranty that covers overclocking. They also have a very good support department.

XFX, BFG, and EVGA are better known brands, and you hear good thins about them. Not so sure about the other 2. Bascially, look at the warranies. This may account price difference. If you are in the US, I believe XFX and BFG offer lifetime warranties, and EVGA a double lifetime warranty. (This assumes you will register with them in al 3 cases). Outside of the US, XFX's warranties are dependent on the retailer. EVGA has a 10 year warranty in Europe due to EU legislation, and I don't know about BFG. Also, while I know XFX does offer a lifetime warranty in the US, and not 100% sure about BFG. It might be 10yrs, or it might be double lifetime instead. I can't remember. I'm buying an XFX even though I live in NZ, because EVGA and BFG are 20-25% more expensive for no apparent reason in New Zealand. Be wary of brands you haven't heard of.
