Hello I have a notebook computer with a built in wireless g card and I am on a campus right now and the access point is a bit to far away. Is there anything I can do to extend the range. Could someone maybe suggest a few products or maybe a few links. Thanks

Hello , I am using my notebook in two different spots, in the first spot i can get the first bar very low signal strength from the windows menu and when i open the network stumbler its shows around -77 for the signal. The other place I use it in I have no signal strength on the windows menu but it can detect the network, i havent had a chance to detect the strength with the network stumbler yet but that one is the one I am really trying to reach. Any suggestions

Try an adapter with the ability to attach an external antenna. A high gain antenna won't work miracles, but it can help. You can find adapters that will either use the PC Card slot or attach via the USB that will allow you to attach an antenna. I've used the Hawking high gain antenna on a router, and it works fairly well, but it is probably too big for you to lug around with your laptop.

You can construct your own antenna from a coffee / pringles / soup can... do a google search and you can find instructions.
