Going to upgrade my phone in either feb or march when my 2 year
contract is within six months of expiration. Contract is actually 1.5
years from expiration at that point because I had to tack on another
year when upgrading to the national plan with no roaming, but the
phone upgrade is based on the original contract.

Anyhoo, I currently have a Samsung S307 and like the size and
features, but not a fan of the sometimes laggy OS and high end
options. Want to give Bluetooth a look and possibly the options which
come with the new Siemens slide phone with Windows Mobile. I'd like to
keep a small phone, but would sacrifice for exceptional features. Let
me know you suggestions and links to check out the phone if possible
(or info if it won't be out till then).

TIA,

Because it's quite simply the best phone currently offered by Cingular.

Ditto the V551. Bluetooth, large hi res screen, good camera, nice size,
customizable menus, etc. However three months is an eternity in this
business I wouldn't start looking seriously until a month or less before you
are ready to buy. Who knows what February will bring?

Yeah, by then maybe the RAZR will even have EDGE, and you can pay $600
instead of $500 + 2 year contract. But don't forget the cool quotient -
with a RAZR, dozens of attractive women will be trying to get into the
pants of anyone with this much cool. True, I saw it on TV.

The V551 handily beats the 6620 in a number of ways; e.g., the V551 is EDGE
Class 4, whereas the 6620 is only Class 2.

At least for me, the V551 seems to be a comfortable phone to use. A
little bigger than my old Nokia in use, and smaller when closed.

Haven't signed up for data yet. Still have 3 months to go on my Sprint
contract, so I'll just continue to use the Treo on Sprint for data until
then.
