Everything was fine.. Left VNC Open for a few days and I think that someone got in my computer somehow and messed around.

Now I can't seem to go on Websites. Both Internet explorer (6) and Firefox (1.5) can't access most web sites.

I say most, because SOME sites work.. I can access google.com from firefox, but not from ie, I can't access Gmail at all.. stuff like that.
Most sites won't work, but a single few do.

There is no Firewall installed (not even the windows firewall), and all other online programs work fine (msn messenger, icq, skype, realvnc, outlook).

Any Ideas ??
What did this wannabe hacker do to my system?

VNc is kind of a proxy thing. Try disabling it, through the msconfig window.

What am I checking?

More Information

That you are not using a proxy server. If nothing is entered, your not using a proxy server.

Proxy servers are use to redirect trafic so it can be filtered and/or monitored.
