Hi all,

Have just received my replacement g-card (XFX 7800GTXextreme) after it became faulty.
I sent it back to Komplett for a replacement and got an identical card back but on the internal box (there are 2 boxes just to get to the bleedin card)!! there was a label saying "Retail Grade B".

Has anybody got any ideas as to what this means???
Its worth mentioning that I only received the internal green box with the card, manual, drivers etc but there was obvious signs of tampering with the box as well as not so sticky anymore stick bits to hold the box together.
To be honest it just looked like someone had just thrown a card into the box and sent it off!!!

Its the "Grade B" part that i'm confused about!!

Any suggestions anybody????

"B Grade stocks are raw customer returns. As such you will find a large range of conditions which will vary pallet to pallet. Within a pallet you can get items that have been smashed, damaged in transit, have parts missing or have simply been returned because they are not wanted. There is not set amount of good to bad in any pallet, they are simply listed by the mail order companies until they fill a pallet."

Yeah? Thats no good then!!! I will have to look into it then.

Should I complain then because they have sent me a graded item instead of a brand new unit???

I'm not familiar with the situation. Maybe wait and see if you can get some Techs or seasoned experienced people to see your post. It's still early yet so dont start to worry alot yet. Still look around on google or somewhere for topics people have experienced similar to your own.

Whenever you send anything back to any manufacturer they usually send you a refurbished item back.

iPod did it with my Mini and Nano
Sony did it with my PSP
Several PC companies did it with thir products

exactly, thats what the do with it all, that one that you just sent back will be fixed and shipped out to another person as well... Any problem the card had before should be fixed, and tested throughly. So you should have no problems. Check the card and see if it works good, if so then keep it, if not send it back and get another, although it again will be a used one too.
