The main reason I purchased an iPAQ 2210 pda was to install a gps aviation navigational program. These efforts have been frustrated by difficulty with activesync, but even when I finally get the program up and running, I have difficulty seeing the pda's screen in direct sunlight even though the manufacturer said this was not a problem. Do any of you know of any type "screen saver" or similar device which is supposed to help out? (Polaroid sunglasses turn the screen black so that obviously doesn't work) I don't have the same problem with an inexpensive (Magellan 315) gps receiver, but don't have as many useful functions either. I've heard that this is a common problem among people who use mobile
PCs.. PCs that are mobile would be, by implication, occasionally
exposed to the glare of sunlight. Mobile PC manufacturers should have
thought of this and implemented a solution before mass production and
distribution! But there are companies that have sprung up to counter
the problem.. one of which is Advanced Link Photonics.. still a
relatively small company that hasn't yet gotten the exposure it
deserves, but I've heard from some that they are pretty reliable and

into the UMPC market, but they still do LCD modifications for a
variety of applications, screen sizes, electronic brands and models.
Their expertise is in not only rendering the LCD panels sunlight-
readable, but they can add touch-screen technology and LED
backlighting as an enhancement.
