True, but this is day 1 of availability and it's already X1900GT/7900GT prices. I'm hoping for $200 myself.

Too bad the mem timings are relaxed so it's a bit behind the 512MB version. But all in all, a nice X1800XT replacement...the card the X1900GT should have been.

This happens whenever I order a new card

I've already spent more money than I should have on the GT...I'll be satisfied.

I've also got to remember that I'm gaming on an LCD with a native res of 1280x1024....and some cards are simply unnecessary to own under that circumstance.

I am pissed off right now. I just bought a video card for my new computer which arrives like saturday.

What did you buy, what did you pay, and where did you buy it from?

I know that it's frustrating, but sometimes you just gotta suck it up and take it like a man. You can't win them all. Beleive me; I was ripping my hair out when, 2 months after I bought my CPU, the price had gone down $120. I feel that now that the new iPod Nano is out. I paid $200 for my 2GB model in Nov. 2005. Right now, you can get a 2GB for $150, plus it's got the aluminum casing, which, in my mind, is far superior to the plastic crap that they used for the original Nano.

I bought a cheap x850xt for 130$. I was going to get like a x1800xt or a x1900gt for 200$ but the sapphire cards disappeared off of newegg. but for 240$ I would of bought this in a heart beat.

You should be able to return the card once you receive it. Newegg is very good about that kind of stuff.
