Hi Guys,
 
My first post here. I have been reading the forums for a while and decided on a new system, as far as I have worked out the most important aspect is the combination of CPU, Mob and type of RAM that can determine the extend of of the OC. This is what I have decided on, any input would be appreciated. I am really no sure about the case, I know cooling is a big issue so is the PSU.

That setup looks really good. Stating a budget would help though.
 
DVD drive: NEc 3550A Cheaper and reliable
 
RAM: Look into Corsair XMS Ram but yours should do fine.
 
Video Card: The overclocked 7900GT are said to have a lot of problems. Are you waiting for DX10. Try looking at the X1900GT or the X1900XT. I've heard horror stories of artifacting overclocked 7900GT's after two hours of usage.
 
Hard Drive: The hard drive is good but consider getting another one and running it in Raid 0 or 1. The EZ-Raid feature of the Asus p5w Dh Deluxe makes it easy. Plug it in, set the jumper and it's done.

Looks good. If you want to spend a bit more money, you could invest in a dedicated sound card like a Creative X-Fi, especially since your going for a 5.1 sound system. A dedicated sound card would be able to reproduce more sound, and take a bit of a load off of your cpu. But that is all your choice though. On-board sound is usually good enough, and i know the Asus is a first-class board. But if you want utmost in performance...

Yeh I can see why from the parts you've chosen.  
 
Since NewEgg has ran out of 2GBHZ, go with 2GBPK which is equivlent (proven) to Corsair 6400C3 for only $200.
 
X1900XT has dropped price to just below $320 now. Go for that if budget allows.
 
If you're into doing advanced DVD burning especially backing up protected content you'll find the Pioneer burner rather lackful.
 
Either Scthe Ninja Plus if you don't go to LAN often or AC Freezer 7Pro will get you the needed cooler.
 
Everything else has my approval to sqeeze all the juice out of E6600.
 
First of all I want to thank all of you for input and assistance.
 
I should give you guys a little more info about where i am. I reside in Australia and the items I have named come to about A$2750. The budget is $3000, or the wife will overclock something in me without a any water cooling system.  
 
The sound card has already been sorta resolved. I have a soundblaster Audigy ZS2 Platinum, which is not so bad.
 
THe AC Freezer 7pro is a nice gadget for a really good price. That adds another $60 to the price. And the reason I chose Pioneer is that I backup my Xbox 360 games and pionner 111D has been teh best one according to xboxhacker.net.
 
And the reason why I chose to go with nVidia 7900gt rather than x1900xt, is that I do video editing and use magic bullet which only supports nVidia video cards, a little bit of a pain, but  that program is a must in my line of work.
 
And G.skill 2BGHZ is available here in the Australian stores. So I assume that will do.
