Instead of buying a rig from companys like last time i decided to build one and i need some help/opions i need a system for some gaming and light modeling skining programing and video editing music and movies to so heres what i came up with and note my buget is a grand unless i go with the conroe setup

Case - Cool Master Centurion 5

Motherboard - Im not quite sure which one now if i could get some recommendations that would be great

PSU - Hiper 580W

Procceser - Intel Pentium D 930 Presler

Ram - 2 OCZ Gold Series 1GB 2 x 512MB

HD - Seagate 160GB *Updated

Graphic Card - SAPPHIRE X1800XT 256MB

Will this be able to handle my needs or should i wait to get a conreo setup and how much more will it be in the usa i cant find any prices or dates i already tried google but i cannot find anything sorry thank you

Alrighty then i have a qouple more questions i forgot to add the E6300 conroe would i be able to get the same performance out of an amd x2 3800 or will they be about the same just with diffrent overclocking abilitys?
Also i wasnt quite sure about the 1800xt or the 7900gt i wont be doing much overclocking to the gpu so i picked the 1800 and casue it can do aa and hdr but if someone could tell me which is better for my needs i would appricate it the games i will be playing is fear obliv quake 4 bf2 css hl2 prey cod2 black and white 2 (alot of fps games)
About the 2 gig ram could i buy another 1 gig 2x512 mb later on and it will work? Thanks for your comment

conroe is supposed to be the AMD BUSTER..if you believe the hype, but we'll know soon enough. dual core has some tricks up it's sleeve , reverse hyper threading, for single core dependent apps, i.e. games...dual core is great for video editing..it's a tough call unless you want to wait for official reviews and news in a month/2 months from now. And yes.. I second 2 gigs ram, even if you have to get poorer timings .. I think the cheapest conroe will be 250-300 at release..there's a sheet out there somewhere with price specs

The E6300 will be $186 - plus the retailer margin...
However, there's also the even lower E4x00 series with lower fsb and without VT, for even less.
