Thread : Using an Apple 30inch monitor with a PC

I currently have a Dell Dimension 8200 with a Intel Pentium 4 Processor 3.06GHz 533MHz Socket 478 512K Cache. I think the motherboard supports AGP 4x. As far as I know it doesn't have a PCI 16 EXPRESS x 16 SLOT. I would like to run the apple 30 inch screen from this computer. Does anyone know if this system can support the dual link DVI video card required for this monitor and if so can you recommend a card which I could use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

If you go to Dell's website and look up the Dell 3007" LCD monitor, they have a complete list of cards that will support it from ATI and Nvidia...

why would you want an apple monitor. one bug reason you wouldn't is them stands. they have got to be the worst ever. also quite a few say the dell ones are better quality although that is mostly personal preference. this has nothing to do with the OP question, just thought i'd mention it. dell's are also cheaper. |
