OK...after hours and hours of research I have come up with these specs:

Motherboard - Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe 939 NF4 Dual x16 SLi DDR400 SATAII Raid 2xGbE Lan 8Ch Audio

I still need the Monitor/PSU and Case but I would like some feedback on the system as it is...any improvements or advice?



Also if you could recommend a Case/Monitor/PSU I would be grateful ^^

2x1GB is the recommended those days.
Go with 2x1GB Corsair XMS PC3200 CAS2-3-3-8 instead.

For a few dollars more the NEC 3540A or BenQ DW1640 can be had.(best two DVD burners)

Other than RAM I'm still trying to keep it within the 1000-ish you've prepared.
