Although THEINQUIRER.NET has made hasty reply to question of facts on NF5 article with "ABIT" mainboard, some "facts", even of explanation, don't add up. "the"inquirer states mainboard abit photo is not doctored, yet ABIT mainboard has no "floppy" drive pins while "mistaken" mainboard does. Secondly, to confuse public theinquirer states MCP55 is 20 lanes, however there are 3 versions of MCP55, "Ultra" having only 20 lanes is not MCP55 that THEINQUIRER stasted is in use on questioned mainboard at all[Identical board except floppy pins ok. This so called NF5 was stated by theinquirer at website sales post to contain C51XE+MCP55PXE: which is highest level MCP55 MADE WITH 46 LANES. As far as I know, no manufacturers use that specific most advanced model, as yet. Details can be found on EPOX website for those MCP55 numbers. Well now theinquirer just uses vague MCP55 model (half) number, which in itself is not enough to define exactly which of three MCP55 models they claim phoney NF5/Doctored or not Doctored photo/other "guy" mainboard to be. If its not MCP55PXE its no where close to NF5 standard(as secret as that standard would be) & certainly 20 lanes is no opener for NF5. More like slightly washed up NF3.So beware, 3 days ago it was 55" plasma for $1,300, yesterday ad looked same, in same place yet item was 55" LCD for $1,300(both where in ad on day one), today same looking add in same page position is 55" projection for $1,300.It may seem small point, yet value of three items becomes less even though buyer may not be aware ads have changed, seeing those good ole "plasmas", when instead seeing projection(not mentioned in ad). BAIT & SWITCH? Taking advantage of publics' honestly? Well tv price/model/ad recognition is little, while just outright stealing $400 from someone on completely crocked lie, is decietful & illegal.theinquirer explanation are more lies to cover up FELONIOUS marketing.Signed |

The Inquirer is confirming that the alleged pink Abit nForce 5 motherboard with flower etchings that had appeared on some message boards was in fact an obvious Photoshop job. The real board seems to be an early sample of one of MSI's future nForce 5-based products. Interestingly enough, the board appears to only sport a single parallel ATA connector, hinting that Socket AM2 systems could follow in Intel's footsteps of slowly phasing out the interface. The board also seems to have a new CPU mounting bracket, validating earlier reports that Socket AM2 would be incompatible with Socket 754, 939 and 940 heatsinks.
