I've been looking in the info provided by "system information" and came across
multiple devices assigned to certain irq's........(ex:irq's 9,10,11,14,15)

IRQ 0 System timer OK
IRQ 1 Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural Keyboard OK
IRQ 2 Programmable interrupt controller OK
IRQ 3 Communications Port (COM2) OK
IRQ 4 Communications Port (COM1) OK
IRQ 6 Standard Floppy Disk Controller OK
IRQ 7 Printer Port (LPT1) OK
IRQ 8 System CMOS/real time clock OK
IRQ 9 VIA AC'97 Audio Controller (WDM) OK
IRQ 9 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering OK
IRQ 10 VIA Tech VT8361/VT8601 Graphics Controller 4.12.01.3104 OK
IRQ 10 ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering OK
IRQ 11 SCI IRQ used by ACPI bus OK

Is this common or should I assign different irq's to certain devices.
I'm particularly concerned about the five devices assigned to irq 11.
Could the above irq assignments be causing less than optmum performance or
maybe slowdowns on my system?
I am currently not recieving any errors or slow downs, but could I optimize
my system by alleaviating the number of devices assigned to irq 11?

That is all quite normal. The line:

...is the device that manages all the other devices that share the same IRQ
11.

Normal operation for Plug 'n Play and motherboards that support IRQ sharing.

Error Code 22:
See MS KB 272291 - "ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering" Problem Device
Entry in System Information Tool"
(http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=272291) where you will find it stated
that what you are seeing is "by design".

Such entries are often the result of having changed the layout of your PCI
cards or following the removal of a card. Forget about this "error" as it
is unlikely to have an effect and is simply indicating that the place
holder previously used is no longer required.

The only devices you have that are actually sharing an IRQ are your
network card and usb controller on IRQ11. The pairs on IRQ13 & 14 are
each in effect the same thing and required to access your IDE devices such
as your hard disk or optical drive.
