Hi all,

I have just restored an ME machine for a friend and installed Zone Alarm &
Spybot. It was okay for the first day or two, then my friend thinks he had a
pop up window from either spybot or zone alarm for which he either allowed
or denied a change (he can't remember which). Now, whenever the machine
starts up, the connection setting in IE has been changed to "Never dial a
connection".

Does anyone have any ideas how I can stop this?

Sounds to me it was more like the Spybot program. Is he running
teatimer? If so, disable this and you should find that it won’t keep
changing the setting.

Control Panel / Internet Options, tab = Connections, for radio button re:
connection.
