Hello,

Is it possible to boot a Linux PC from a USB drive (flash or regular)?

If so, if you could point me to a web site or document that explains how to
do it, I'd appreciate that.

Thanks.

www.bootdisk.com should have some drivers available for you to fool around.
They might want a donation as well, to get them.

It depends on and requires a current state of the art motherboard that
offers that specific feature.

USBstick is seen as a SCSI device by the board BIOS. Therefore, we can
boot FIRST from SCSI device in CMOS, if yours has that setting. Some of
my boards from 1996 do!

All my mobos do too (don't know the age, but every time I accidentally
leave a flash drive plugged in, the mobo tries to boot from it (but
finds no OS of course).
