I live in the U.S. and I'm planning a trip to Europe (U.K. and Germany).
What will I need to safely re-charge my iPAQ 2215? Do I just need a
converter plug (something to convert my two-prong U.S. charger to the
appropriate Euro prong configuration) or do I need something more extensive?

Check the charger. If it says 100-240V then all you'll need is a plug
adapter (or two, UK one is different from rest of Europe). If it just
says 100-110V then you'll need a different charger.

Most European chargers are of the 100-240V type. No idea how
international the US is about power these days but I remember having a
problem with a Palm V I bought years back only having a 100V charger.

Check the charger specs. If the charger is rated 110-240 Volts and 50-60 Hz then all you need is the
physical wall plug adapters that you can buy at many travel/luggage stores or electronics stores
like Radio Shack. See this site for additional information...

Converter plug is fine, the PDA power adapters all work on 110-250V
and 50-60Hz AC. Most of Europe (UK where I am) is 240V AC 50Hz. You
could always check the labelling on the top of the adapter or
wall-wart, they're always labelled with the voltage range and
frequency.

I had the reverse, a trip to the US with my UK plug. An adapter from 3
to 2 prong was about £3.5 (5USD) at a hardware store - don't pay more!

Thanks to all who replied. To complete this thread, I checked the charger
and its specs are:

Input: 100-240V ~ 400mA 50-60Hz

So it looks like this U.S. charger will work OK in Europe with the right
plug converter.
