Wanted to share an issue I had for others that may run into it. I have been
plagued with constant disconnect with my Linksys USB NIC on WinXP Pro.
After researching many NGs I discovered XP will not always detect new USB
devices and USB NICs are NOT always compatible with the Wireless Zero Config
service in XP. Some companies have updated drivers and others don't Linksys
didn't have one that worked and I tried out the fix below which apparently
worked for some. It didn't work for me so I went and baught a PCI wireless
NIC.

Windows XP Professional SP1

BEFCMU10v2(modem), BEFSR41v2(router), WAP11v2.2(access point), WUSB11
v2.5(was desktop NIC), WUSB11 v2.6(was desktop NIC), WPC11 v3(laptop PCMCIA
NIC) & WMP11v4(desktop PCI NIC)

A suggested HOW TO FIX WUSB11 connection in Windows XP:
Go to Control Panel.
Choose Administrative Tools.
Select Services. A two-pane window comes up.
In the right-hand pane, scroll down and click Wireless Zero Configuration.
Click Stop the Service. A progress bar may come up briefly.
Click Start the Service. Again, a progress bar may come up.
Close the Services window. At this point, the connection should come back.

In my case it never stayed.
