I've got a new LinkSys wireless router (a wrt54gs) which I had no problem
connecting to the desktop. However, my 4155 is another story.
I can get the ipaq to recognize the wi-fi, but when I go to Pocket IE and
put in a URL (such as www.ebay.com) the only thing it will do is state: the
page you are looking for cannot be found.
How do I get the thing configured to be able to surf the Net???? I'm new at
this and am really lost....

Thanks

Michael

Are you sure you have entered the right WEP key for your network into your Ipaq? I have the same router as you and have no problem connecting.

I just did some work on it and found that if I use 128 bit WEP I have
trouble, but with 64 bit WEP it seems to go right through. Still a little
confused as to the problem here.

Thanks.

Hmm hit the wrong button on that one. Anyhow a friend of ours has the exact
same ap and we can connect fine to his. It's really strange because they
both have the same firmware version.

is it the same for all URLs ?

how does your PC get its IP address (check in network properties) is it
using DHCP or does it have a static IP address ?

is your wireless router wired to your desktop or wireless ?

Cheers, N
