Hello, I have a small wirelesss home network.  I know that the network has worked before.  MY problem is I went up to college no doubt had to change some settings there on my laptop, and now that I am back home, my laptop is not connecting to the host computer properly.  Interestingly enough, the connection icon pops up in the system tray and says that I have good to excellent reception.  I cannot however access any network functions, in fact, it says that I do not even receive any packets.  Once I performed some sort of diagnostic and got about 60 packets to come through, but nothing else.  It is a link sys hub and wireless PCMIA card, both are workign properly.  I know that my laptop is acquiring a new IP address, when I click the repair option on the laptop, it says that it cannot renew IP.  I do now plan on changing anything on the hsot PC, b/c nothing on it has changed...it is most likely with my laptop (dell latitude).  ANy help is MUCH appreciated.  Thanks

P.S.  Please if you could send a duplicate of your reply to amorris@email.byu.edu  Thanks!

Hello...me again.  This might help.  My Dad's laptop is working fine on the wireless network, I imagine this indicates the host computer and its settings to be fine.  ALSO, I put in my wired PCMIA card and plugged it into the back of the hub, once again, the card light indicators came on AND the systray icon came on indicating a live connection, but each time I send numerous packets of info and receive only 3 back.  I am confident it is with the settings of my PC. ThankS!

P.S. I have tried enabling and disabling, also assigning IP addresses manualy (perhaps I am using incorrect ones), and the wizards as well, no luck.  THANKS AGAIN!
