Just renewed my New Every Two & was told by the salesman the best bang for
the buck would be the 6100.
Got it & although the phone has a camera & some other new features the
reception at my home is terrible.
Contacted VZ by phone & was told my record of calls had very few. After
explainuing that most calls I did try making from home I or the party I was
speaking to hung up.
Yes I did do a *228 (2) to update the PRL. No improvement.
They told me to see a tech person who will be present at the local store on
Friday only.

The 4400 was not that great from my home either but I could at least
complete most calls.
Not really interested in camera & all the other BS.
I want a phone that can relieably make & receive calls from my home.

Any suggestions from people that are satisfied with phone reception is
appreciated.

To answer their question:
"can you hear me now"?
Hell NO!
I sure can't!

My fiancee and I went to the VZW store last night to upgrade her phone
(old Nokia 3285). I have an LG VX10. We both had terrible reception
at our home (although great everywhere else).

We were looking to get an LG VX7000, but they were all out. The
salesman recommended the Motorola E815, and we ended up getting this
one.

The features of this phone are very nice, the menus are easy to use,
and the inside LCD is very bright and crisp. The sound quality is
excellent. And, the reception is much better in our house. It didn't
lose signal in any of the "trouble spots" where my VX10 would bounce
in-and-out of reception.

Not being sure it was better than the VX7000 (which got good reviews
online), I looked into it when we got home. On phonescoop, this phone
(the E815) got very high scores in the user reviews. I have to say I
agree with these scores.. granted, we've only had it 1 day so far, but
it seems like an EXCELLENT phone. Battery life should be quite long
too, according to the specs.

The only complaints I have about it are: the external display isn't
very clear.. it's easy enough to read the date/time/callerid, but it's
hard to see how many "bars" of signal you have, and some of the other
small icons are hard to discern.

Also the vibrate mode is VERY weak, at least compared to my VX10.

I plan on going to the store again tonight and upgrading my own phone
to the E815. I'm up for the NE2 as well. With the -$100 for NE2 and
the current $50 rebate (or $50 discount if purchased online), we got
the phone for $0. Sounds like you can, too.
