I read that the you can not use the SCH-i730 as a modem...are there any
ways around this, even using my own ISP with air time, I dont need the
full EV speed to get my email on a laptop.

I just need it for occasional useage but would like the laptop
connected through the phone.

I found an article that works well...it solved my problem and I can
surf with EVDO.
