My sister plans to move from NJ to AZ. She has the ACI plan. Uses her
phone sparingly. When she moves and informs Verizon of her new billing
address, will she be required to get a number local to AZ or can she
keep her NJ number?. If required to change numbers, or she chooses to
change numbers, will she be forced into ACII? In AZ, (Tucson area),
where there are a lot of white areas (no service under ACII), which is
preferable; ACI or ACII?

Thanks for any insights.

Some things are easier than others to answer. This is one of the easiest:
YES, she can keep her AC plan, and it is guaranteed to remain as-is, if she
keeps her NJ number, and changes only her billing address.

If she changes to an AZ number they will consider it an "easy move", and
while it is "likely" she can keep her AC1, there is 75% chance that they'll
require an AC2. The AC1 is still in their systems, so if you ask for it,
you will more than likely get to keep it. Don't ask for it, and be assured
of a move to AC2. dr
