More Information

Hi!
1. I don't speak good english <- Not a SOBER virus (McAfee). 2- i'm electronic engineer. 3- i'm not a Computer's god.

Not long ago i have purchasing my first new PC (after DOS times) with a very stupid idea: making jobs. I have too many problems with Spyware, Viruses, not compatibles, bad programs, bad supports &...software & little problems with hardware. After several years headache my second idea is simple: more hardware with no much software.

After 2 years my new PC IS NOT NEW. Buy a new PC is cheaper from upgrade ---> two PCs.
I take from friends 2 old PCs - with oldest i write this document now, for "new" i don't have money today ---> 3+1 PCs.

1. My super new PC is for multimedia authoring only (my job) & he don't have a connection.
2. My new (before 2-3 years) PC is a A/V Player & for daily jobs (for me only). He have "on demand" connections with LAN & modem.
3. I have a plan for my third ("old-new" PC with P4-1.6GHz): a simple homemade multimedia center for daily use & a "toy" for my wife ("stupid" womans... - Sorry, lady!) with LAN connection & "on demand" Internet.
4. My oldest PC today is for Internet only & a "easy" job - audio recording from old media. He have & LAN connection(s).
5. My very, very old PCs (with DOS) is for museum & sweet remembrances only. The green or 16-collors screen & THE FULL CONTROL make a good to my psichic balance.

* All is fine, but my oldest PC (4.) is not much slower for his job:
Mother: Asus AB-PR5 Rev2 - 3xPCI, 4xSlots, 2xUSB, 2x2 ATA &...& PLL52C59-14
Processor: Genuine Intel Pentium & MMX - Shocket7 - 200MHz (66MHz bus)
Windows 98 SE with all updates, DirectX9 (7-video only)
4x32=128Mb RAM
Graphics: S3 ViRGE PCI (325) (now: 1024x768 & 16bit)
Sound: Creative SB Audigy Live (Cheap & new- & 24bit)
LAN Card 100Mb (PCI) & a slot-LAN card...
DVD-ROM & 2xHD: 3 & 4Mb &... (very good for this PC- the mouse is USB Microsoft Wireless InteliMouse Explorer & a USB Printer - no problems)

I have read the Motherboard instructions (from Internet) & Tom's Overclocking guide. I have all "new" drivers (from Internet).
My Motherboard is sIightly another from Tom's... (see attachment) & i make a overclocking for 75MHz Bus speed (see the scissors from attachment).

I don't see a difference!

The System Monitor say: the processor ussage is 100% (always if a job is runing) & everything all is O.K.

The Tom's... say: Pins: 8- via 2.2KOhm to GND (i-?), 12- via 10KOhm to +5V (i-yes), 13- via 10KOhm to +5V (i-yes).

How to realy make a overclocking?
Thank you!
