Verizon Wireless is hoping to better sync up with business customers,
rolling out a new set of enterprise data pricing packages as well as new
push e-mail services from software partner Intellisync.

The new pricing packages include dropping the cost of NationalAccess data
service $20 to $59.99 monthly. NationalAccess provides Internet, e-mail and
applications access with connections averaging 60 to 80 kbps bursting up to
144 kbps on Verizon's 1XRTT network. The 1XRTT network is available in
thousands of cities across the nation.

The EV-DO-driven BroadbandAccess service, meanwhile, will now be offered at
$79.99 monthly. It offers data speeds averaging between 400 and 700 kbps,
with bursts up to 2 Mb/s in 30 markets. Customers who use the service
outside of those markets can access the 1XRTT network as a fallback.

Verizon also is adding BlackBerry and PDA/smartphone data service plans to
its enterprise lineup. Customers who buy these handsets can choose from a 10
MB data plan for $29.99 monthly or an unlimited plan for $49.99. Customers
opting for a data plan along with an America's Choice voice plan will
receive a $5 discount.

On the e-mail front, Verizon has added a new push service using software
provided by Intellisync. The service includes Wireless Sync Workgroup
software, which offers push e-mail, calendar and personal information to as
many as 20 users. It can be downloaded and installed on a standard PC to
monitor e-mail and personal information management (PIM) elements for
Microsoft Exchange or Lotus Domino e-mail and then deliver the information
to palmOne Treo, PocketPC or other devices.

The Wireless Sync Enterprise Server provides the same services for larger
enterprises with thousands of users. It also offers device management tools,
including the ability to disable handsets if they are lost or stolen via
over-the-air software commands.

"The Wireless Sync Enterprise Server is the next step for Verizon Wireless
to provide our business customers a full feature Enterprise E-mail
solution," said Lee Daniels, Verizon's director of business products and
solutions, in a press release. "Wireless Sync - powered by Intellisync - is
becoming one of the most reliable, secure and scalable wireless software
brands in the market, one that business customers need."
