Archived from groups: alt.cellular.verizon (More info?)

I haven't bought a cell phone since the days of the startac more than
a couple years ago. Does the LG8000 allow uploading from computer to
cellphone of contacts info, Calendar info and hopefully Notes from
Outlook, like a PDA would do?

I just picked up the 8000. Verizon doesn't offer/support data transfer
from a home computer. There are a number of after-market kits that do
this for cell phones. I looked at a packages at CompUSA yesterday that
do this for you...both were $50. I've seen them online for $75. I
since this unit has been out for only two weeks the programs may not
fully support them yet.
