Dumb question, but does that rediculous little square looking metal antenna u stick behind ur battery really do anything? I fail to see how something not attached to the phones antenna itself could have any positive effect.

BTW I am talking about the ones u see advertised on TV, and I've seen them recently on some sites for sale as well.

One of my fellow employees swears it helps so our company bought all of us boosters and I haven't noticed a difference at all.(neither has anyone else)

Go to your Radio at home listen to it and then stick a magnet to it. Hey presto your radio gets ever so slightly louder - it boosts the signal.

forgot to say - put the magnet near the ariel. One of those little radios with the metal telescopic ariels work best for this example.
