Hi guys,

I play a really awesome open-source fps called Xonotic. It is the successor to Nexuiz, which is another open-source fps that is no longer being developed.

Imo, it has really good gameplay and incredible graphics, all for absolutely nothing. There is also an active community (and lots of mappers) and the game is always changing.

Version 0.6 is coming out soon, so stay tuned.

Here is the website: http://www.xonotic.org/

I also play Xonotic and have for a while, it is nice to see someone else who plays.
You can get the auto-build script which updates it to the latest stable development version from the following site:

http://www.xonotic.org/

Edit: I can't help but to state the already stated...

Ah, good to see another Xonotic player here.
Indeed, you can get the auto-build up and running from the website, join the forums to discuss things, download maps here and you can chat about Xonotic over at Quakenet (the channel is #xonotic).

The page for the auto-build script is:

http://www.xonotic.org/2011/05/aut [...] -released/

Click the blue text that says "automatic update script" to download the zipped folder, instructions for what to do after this are stated on the page.

Have fun anyone that decides to try!

The script download the latest version of the game, not just the latest official release.

Again, have fun!
