Will this improve performance in gaming.

I have a 2.50 GHz processor a GT 440 graphics card and 2 gigs of ram and i lag in online games like world of warcraft and league of legends but i can play skyrim on high settings. Will more ram help this issue?

It sounds like you have high ping times causing a lot of internet lag.

You need to choose a closer hosting server to play online games or you need to switch to another internet provider.

I think i have cox highspeed do you mean switch companies or switch servers on the game. Because i realise that some servers are in like WA when im in AR

I mean both, of course switching servers would be the first option. The best thing to do is to choosing the closet server to you because it takes less time for the data packets to travel, thus creating less lag. Also the farther data packets have to travel between the point of origin (your computer) to the ultimate destination (the game server), they must travel through many other server some of which may have high ping times as well.

Switching to another ISP can either:

1. Help because their servers have less ping time.
2. Harm because their servers have more ping time than your current IPS
3. No difference because their servers could have around the same amount of ping time as your current server.

If you have friends in your area who plays online games, ask them about their experience and which ISP they use to help determine if switching ISPs is a good idea.

Okay thanks for the replies i just wanted to know because I'm going to be playing a online game called Tera soon and I don't want to lag when the sight says I meet recommended requirements.
