This thread is for people who are going to buy a new PC and want to know that it will run all the current games at least on high settings.
The new records are from the system recommended requirements.

New CPU record: i7-960 @ 3.2GHz. Raising record game: Microsoft Flight

New GPU record: GTX 590 . Raising record game: Flatout 3

I will try to add update as necessary.

I don't think those system requirements were "requirements", more I think hardware they have tested the game on and they know work.

I do not know what the game could possibly load into ram that would require 16 gigs LOL.

they are the recommended requirements not the minimum... the extra ram is used like a ssd where textures and the likes are stored for fast access minimizing load times and disk access.

This thread is for people who want to buy a new PC that will play ALL games at ultra settings, so I try to update as necessary when new records are made.
A normal search in google to find the latest highest requirements yielded disappointing results.
I personally doubt that this game will actually max out 12 CPU threads.
