Can I get informative answers concerning this phone. I see it's new to
Verizon. I've been a loyal MOTO customer for years but lately they
have been putting out garbage. I've never owed a KYOCERA. The phone
looks great and has all the features I'm looking for, but I have never
brought this brand.
Currently own a MOTO V60s, and my contract is up in December.

Thanks in advance

I checked by my Verizon store today. All out of the Audiovox 9900 that I
had my heart set on. Ok, so I fondled one of these Kyocera KX2 phones.

It has the big screen, ok keypad, Tri-Mode, and size is ok. But ... that
swivel business leaves me cold. The detent in the swivel is sloppy ...
right out of the box new. It wobbles. Menuing system would take a little
adjustment but that's do-able. Verizon is intent on slapping on a must-have
bag of accessories to drive the price up. So with my NE2 $100 allowance and
a 2 yr re-up, (and was there a store rebate?), the phone's just over $100
out of my pocket. Eh!

My opinion: The flip was designed for a left handed person since it flips
counter clock wise, what were they thinking. I compared the camera with
the 6100 next to it in the store and the 6100 takes much better pictures
and is a much better phone in my opinion. The kyocera stuff has been
unreliable in the past and that swivel looks like future problems. Stick
with LG.

the SWIVEL (there was no flip on the KX2 I saw) was designed like a
switch-blade, which is meant to be held in the right hand and also opens
counter-clock-wise.

Next time you have a KX2 in your hand thing "blade" instead of "make-up
case."

I've not been one to complain about Verizon's phone offerings ... simply
because I don't ask a phone to be an amusement park or Universal Studios.
Verizon needs to put pressure on one of its phone suppliers to duplicate the
CDM 9900 ... in a business version. Big screen, big legible keyboard,
Tri-mode, programable menu system, flip with a rugged hinge, with a great
sound and external speaker. Otherwise, I may as well stick with my old
Audiovox 9155 bar phone.

"Designed like a switch-blade", eh? If that's the analogy, then Kyocera
should have contracted with a quality knife maker 'cuz Kyocera is clueless
on this point. Opening the KX2 is a two handed affair for my size. Or is
one supposed to flick open the KX2 like a switch blade? THAT should
increase the mortality rate! LOL
