Dad's Gift Wishlist: Win A Prize

Dad's Gift Wishlist: Win A Prize
By , Rachel Rosmarin

Maybe your dad stays up to date on all the latest gear, or perhaps he's content to let you tell him all about it whenever you come over to his house for dinner (or just to do your laundry).

Maybe you're a dad yourself, and would rather receive the newest Blu-ray player or point-and-shoot camera than yet another tie.

This list can serve as a cheat sheet, or a not-so-subtle hint: If your dad is anything like our dads, he probably wants something for the TV room, something to help him get online, or something to help him visit and record his family and friends. We've gathered some of the newest gadget-oriented possibilities right here.

In addition to giving you all these gift ideas, we're also giving you something else--a chance to win.

Click here to enter the Tom's Guide-Newegg Dads' Day Blue Ribbon Giveway!

Enter for a chance to win one of three Blue Ribbon gadget prizes—all blue, and ideal for dad. An HP Netbook, a Canon digital camera, or a Cisco Linksys router. Click the link above for more information about the prizes.

Three winners will be chosen at random. The contest will run from 8am pacific June 9, to 8am pacific June 16. If you do win, you could keep the prize for yourself, or you could hand it over to dear old dad.

It looks like that in the US it's common to spend 1500$ for fathers day... I guess that because of the € falling down, I'll print a picture, and put it in a "hand made" macaroni frame :-D
Very nice article, but a bit "high priced" for fathers day... I guess you tried to find a good excuse to gather those objects under one subject

It's not very common at all, unless you have a ton of money to waste, and most kids do not. Most of these aren't really good options for adults giving to their parents either, as these are pretty much targeted at the 20-40 age range.

So, yeah, I'm not quite sure how this is actually a "Father's Day gift guide", more like "wish list". lol

This is a list of items if you are planning on "going big." Stay tuned: tomorrow we publish a list of 50 ideas that cost under $50. So, we've got both angles covered.

Sometimes fathers buy themselves gifts on fathers day, in that context it's a fine list :-)
