13. Canon Rebel T2i DSLR w/ Lens
Canon Rebel T2i DSLR w/ Lens - $849.99
If your run-of-the-mill, point-and-shoot just won’t cut it for your shutterbug of a father, then the Rebel T2i from Canon might be what the doctor ordered. The most professional of photographers aside, the T2i is the definition of a “prosumer” DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera. From its 18 megapixel CMOS image sensor to the 3” LCD to its superb HD video recording, the T2i has it all. An update from the T1i that came out in 2009, the T2i can record Full HD 1080p video at 24, 25, and 30 frames per second, as well as 720p video at 50 or 60 frames per second. Using a 4 GB SD card, the T2i can grab 12 minutes of 1080p video or 18 minutes of 720p, so make sure you include a nice roomy 16 GB card with this gift. While its bigger brother, the 7D, might have the T2i beat on photo quality (if only barely), the T2i matches the 7D on video. The T2i also includes a nine-point auto-focus system, ISO from 100 to 12800, five focusing modes, and a dozen different shooting modes. The T2i also ships with an 18-55 mm lens and can take any Canon DSLR lens available today. Once this DSLR lands in your dad’s hands, prepare for a whirlwind of candid photos and plenty of high-quality home video.

It looks like that in the US it's common to spend 1500$ for fathers day... I guess that because of the € falling down, I'll print a picture, and put it in a "hand made" macaroni frame :-D
Very nice article, but a bit "high priced" for fathers day... I guess you tried to find a good excuse to gather those objects under one subject

It's not very common at all, unless you have a ton of money to waste, and most kids do not. Most of these aren't really good options for adults giving to their parents either, as these are pretty much targeted at the 20-40 age range.
So, yeah, I'm not quite sure how this is actually a "Father's Day gift guide", more like "wish list". lol
This is a list of items if you are planning on "going big." Stay tuned: tomorrow we publish a list of 50 ideas that cost under $50. So, we've got both angles covered.
Sometimes fathers buy themselves gifts on fathers day, in that context it's a fine list :-)
