Aside from the standard viewing functions, which are very complete and include DPOF printing, the LX1 has a slide show function with adjustable timing. You can also rotate images, and record a short audio "memo" to accompany the photo. In addition to these fairly common functions there are editing functions including resize, cropping, and change of format (to change 16:9 images to 3:2 or 4:3).

The viewing display can be very complete, with a histogram.

You can crop your photos if you feel you need to.
Power Supply And Connectivity
With its very small size, the LX1 would almost have to use a Li-Ion battery; one is naturally provided, along with a charger. The battery is supposed to provide power for up to 240 shots or two hours of operation. That's very good, but for intensive use you'll need to plan on a second battery.
There are two connectors: one for USB and video, and the other (special) for an external power supply. Note that it doesn't seem possible to get a video out signal in shooting mode; the output only works in viewing mode, which some users may not care for.
