Las Vegas (NV) - AMD announced today at CES 2008 their ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3000 graphics processor with full DirectX 10.1 support. Targeted at HD model notebooks, the 3400 and 3600 models use a PCIe x2 bus, and provide integrated DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. Full 1080p support is provided in graphics hardware by ATI Avivo HD technology, freeing up the CPU for other tasks. The 3000 series targets increased battery life with power management technology and an increase in performance per watt.

ASUS is currently producing notebooks with the 3000 series inside, and other notebook manufacturers will be doing the same in the first half of 2008.
