Black Friday Shopping Guide: 50 Great Deals

- by
Table of contents

1. We did the hard work.

Free Android phones! $199 42" LCD TVs! $79 color laser printers! What madness is this? Why, it's Black Friday, of course.

We scoured all of the print and Web ads and rumor sites to find the best deals in all 50 categories, with a few added from last year and a few removed. From home theater gear to PCs to cameras and everything in between, we’ve found the best bang for your buck.

In some cases, we’ve shared the absolute cheapest version of a particular product, while in other cases we’ve detailed the deal we think has the best overall value. We have picked a pricier item because it's a better brand, in a few cases.

Now a couple disclaimers: we reported this article in the days leading up to Thanksgiving, and Black Friday deals are subject to change. We tried to get the best deals but prices did change more than once during the writing of this piece. And, in many cases, if you look at the links in this article before Black Friday, you will see a different price. That's what the item is selling for right now, before the BF special kicks in.

Did we miss a particularly great deal? Let us know in the comments section.

If you need help with shopping strategy, rather than price checks, take a look at our Black Friday survival guide.

Half of BF deals involve ghetto brands with subpar quality. Emerson being one of them.
