Acer Aspire Desktop w/ AMD Athlon X2 4400

$229 at Office Depot, according to Black-Friday.net

The Acer AX1200-U1640A Desktop Computer is not the high-end machine that video editors and gamers dream of, but it is sufficient for the typical home computer user performing tasks such as word processing, Web browsing and photo editing. This desktop features a dual-core 2.3 GHz processor, 2 GB of memory (upgradeable to 4 GB), a 320 GB SATA hard drive, integrated Nvidia GeForce 8200 graphics with up to 256 MB shared memory, a multi-format DVD burner, nine USB Ports, one Firewire Port, an HDMI port (to connect to an HDTV) and an eSATA port (for fast access to an external hard drive). And at $229—regularly priced at $380—this is the least expensive of all the Black Friday desktop computers we’ve seen.

eMachines EL1200-01e with Monitor and Printer

$300 at Best Buy, according to Bfads.net

Looking for more than just a desktop computer? Best Buy has a desktop computer plus a 18.5” widescreen monitor and a Canon color printer for just under $300. The eMachines EL1200-01e desktop features an AMD Athlon 2650e processor, 2 GB of memory and a 320 GB hard disk drive. Additional configuration details were not available. Compared to the Office Depot Black Friday desktop, you’ll give up some features and get some useful accessories. You’ll give up the dual-core processors in exchange for a single-core 1.6 GHz processor and in return get a nicely sized widescreen monitor and a brand name color printer. Best Buy has only guaranteed 10 of these per store, but at least Best Buy tells us how many each store has in stock. And a savings of greater than 50% is certainly in the best of the holiday spirit. Regularly priced, these products would otherwise cost $620.

Dell Vostro 200 Desktop Computer with 20" LCD

$389 at Dell.com

Would you like to spend Thanksgiving eating turkey and watching football instead of standing in line at your local retail store? If you don’t mind spending a few extra dollars, Dell has you covered, with its online Black Friday Small and Medium Business sale, which is already underway. Dell’s inexpensive desktop offering is the Vostro 200, featuring an Intel Pentium Dual-Core E2200 (2.20GHz) processor, 1 GB of RAM (upgrade to 2 GB for just $30), 160 GB hard disk drive, 20” widescreen monitor and 16x multi-format DVD burner. That’s a savings of $170, plus a savings of endless hours of standing in line in what could be some very cold weather.

For those interested in the MSI Wind Netbook, the one on sale for $349 is the older one with the 3-cell lithium ion battery. That will give you about 3 hours of battery life. The version with the 6-cell battery will cost you back $430.

I did notice that Costco deal for the Sansa, but many people I know don't have memberships already. To buy one, it's $50. (They also don't usually let you use guest passes on Black Friday.) But it's a GREAT deal for someone who already have a club membership (or if you can get a pal to buy one for you.)
