In terms of the CPU performance, both units draw level within the scope of the measuring accuracy. As regards the overall memory performance, the TM803LCi is the clear winner. This comes as no surprise, however, since the result also includes the performance of the video memory. In the hard drive benchmark, the TM803LCi lags behind the T40 from IBM, whose mass storage unit "spins" far faster at 5400 rpm, which explains the advantage in this discipline.
