6. Ergonomics And Clearness

The Karma's ergonomics should used as a form-factor template in electronic product design engineering school. The big screen is very clear, with more-than-effective blue backlighting. The browse system is especially well designed. There is a menu button to access ... the menu. Then you scroll up and down with a very clever wheel you also use for validating. Playback is controlled with a red 4 way joystick knob and volume with two separate buttons on the side. All the buttons are helped by an interface that offers a clear picture of the items while scrolling.

It is very easy to run through the playlists, with a view of the previous and next items. There is also an equalizer with five presets. However, in manual mode, you can only set the high and low frequencies. A very effective automatic level option smoothes out the volume differences between items. And the icing on the cake is two old-fashioned VU-meters you can display for the sound level, that is if you want to show off the high-sound quality of your MP3 player.
