13. Performance Comparison
The new graphics processor is clearly faster in all applications except in Doom 3 at 1024x768 with 8xAF and 4xAA. The ATI Mobility Radeon is head and shoulders above the previous generation, boasting an overall average of 40% better scores and frame rates. Below is a breakdown of the performance differences with antialiasing and anisotropic filtering disabled (except in Doom 3 where AF is always at 8x, the high quality setting) and then with antialiasing set to 4x and anisotropic filtering set to 8x.

You can already see that as the workload increases for the graphics processor, the performance gap between the mobile generations becomes greater.
