8. Emails And Messages

At a first glance the menu 'Mail' seems to be a fully functional email program.

Whether it is the email address, the subject or the email text, everything can be entered fairly comfortably with the character recognition 'Graffiti' or the touch-screen keyboard. It is also possible to import addresses from the address book.

As with every email program you can set priority, blind carbon copy (BCC) or read confirmation. All created emails are send to the outbox of the Palm (next picture).
Message Outbox

This is the outbox for the email. At this point you will immediately discover the limitations of this included email software: You can not send email directly from the road with a mobile phone. First you need to synchronize the Palm emails with Outlook or your email program of choice on your PC first. The Hotsync sends the created emails to the Outlook outbox, and then lets you send the emails via your computer. At least you can transfer the mail in your inbox to the Palm, read them on the road and write replies. After our initial disappointment about the meager options to send email, we discovered how to upgrade the included email program so it can send email directly via a mobile phone. We will tell you how this is done exactly in a few days in another article.
