3DMark 2005

Called the "Gamer's Benchmark," THG has been using different versions of 3DMark over the years. With each new version of the software, the bench target is scaled to reduce its size, which is a good idea. Currently, ORB holds the best score in the world for 3DMark 2003 with 39,880 marks. If the benchmark target were never reset, the numbers would become astronomical in a few years as PCs speed up.
