6. Ports And Connectors

The notebook has many other smaller features that make using it easy. Along with the Bluetooth and WLAN buttons on the front panel are the infrared sensor, the headphone and microphone jacks, and a memory card reader. The latter component can read the Secure Digital (SD), xD, Memory Stick (MS), MS Pro, and MultiMedia Card (MMC) form factors. Whether you are looking at photos from your camera, transferring files, or hooking up an SD device, the card reader will certainly come in handy.

Being paired with the X700 also permits connectors for S-Video, DVI, and standard VGA ports.

The notebook comes with a docking station port, to help you move from mobile PC to office PC.

The notebook has four USB ports, three on the right side.

The modem and network connections are located on the left side. This is also where the fourth USB connection, Firewire port, and PCMCIA slot reside.
