Although Intel’s Atom processor shortage has had a large impact toward notebook vendors’ low-cost notebook (netbook) shipments, IPC (industrial PC) makers, who also have their eyes on Atom platforms, say they are not feeling as much pressure. The IPC industry’s lower volumes and high variety are said to have minimized the possibility of shortages.
