It’s so hard to get away on vacation these days, and it’s even more difficult when you are constantly worrying about a pet at home. Even if someone is looking after your little buddy, you want to make sure things are going smoothly. The Smarthome Remote Feeding and Viewing Kit ($300) can help you take care of Fido, even while you’re on Fiji. Just access your home computer remotely (hey, they’ve got wireless in places you’d never imagine) and log on to drop food into the feeder. Then, watch as your little snookums comes running. The feeder comes with a dishwasher-safe bowl and can be programmed to drop food – even if you can’t make it to the computer – up to eight times a day. So sit back on your safari and watch your little lion attacking that kibble.

Am I the only one that thought it said 'Pot-Friendly Tech Gifts'?

Hamster obesity epidemic, lol. Turn off the TV and stop feeding them those "yogurt treats".

Imagine being the poor cat that gets left inside with that electronic door. Every time it sees another cat go through it's going to try, and get rejected. Talk about emotional problems.

After installing the door it won't work. I called for support and they said you have to get the disk within less than one inch from the door to trigger the release. That is a physiological impossibly. It would require that the cat take the disk with his paw and put it within one inch of the door. Unfortunately he has no thumbs. Can anyone help?
