Manchester (England) - Environmental agency Greenpeace isn’t sharing in the fun of the innovative Wii console, and instead is blaming the console’s maker Nintendo of not having "any environmental credentials."

Greenpeace’s latest installment in its "guide to greener electronics" rated Nintendo dead last of the three big video game console manufacturers. In fact, on the scale of 1 - 10, Greenpeace gave Nintendo a 0.

"Nintendo completely fails to show any environmental credentials," writes the agency in its report. Microsoft did "a little better," it wrote, giving the software giant a score of 2.7. Sony was far above both of its gaming competitors. Moreover, of the 18 consumer electronics companies highlighted in the report, it was in the top 20 percent, scoring a 7.3.

Sony Ericsson, the mobile phone company in which Sony has a major stake, scored 7.7. That put it in a tie with Samsung as the highest-scoring corporation on the list.

This is the sixth time Greenpeace has provided an electronics report, and the first time that it gave a company a zero score.

Toshiba, LG, Fujitsu, Dell, and Lenovo were all other companies that score a 7.0 or above, which Greenpeace considers to be significantly "green". In descending order, the rest of the companies in the report were HP, Nokia, Apple, Acer, Motorola, Panasonic, Sharp, and Philips. Philips scored a 2.0.
