DoD Has Concerns Over Apple's Purchase Of P.A Semi

Washington DC - Apple’s recent announcement that it has purchased chipmaker P.A. Semi has raised some eyebrows at the Pentagon. Apparently the power efficient chipmaker produces CPUs that are used in all branches of the U.S. armed forces and Apple has said it cannot guarantee future supply of these chips.

P.A. Semi claims its chips use 30% less power than competitors and this is obviously very important in military applications where your next power socket may be hundreds or even thousands of miles away.
