Dirk Meyer Announced New AMD CEO

AMD’s current chief executive officer Hector Ruiz is stepping down and handing his role to Dirk Meyer, who has been elected president and CEO of AMD, effective immediately.

Ruiz will remain with AMD as chairman of the board, finalizing AMD’s Asset Light (Smart) strategy, which is rumored to include the sale of AMD’s fabs.

This is the not the changing of the guards its the writing on the wall. i.e, Not a parade of fools but a captain jumping ship. Imagine another CPU SNAFU, now imagine Nvidias 512 bus on DDR5. Now imagine the sound of a candle being blown out..
