DRAM Testing And Packaging Houses To Cut Quotes By 5% In Q1

Despite contract prices for DRAM showed signs of stabilizing in the first half of January, the stiff cost pressure that DRAM makers are still exposed to has pressured back-end houses to cut their quotes by an average of 5% in the first quarter of 2008, according to industry sources. Among all major DRAM testing and packaging houses, ChipMOS Technologies already cut its quotes for select customers in December.
