29. Design And Finish
The design of the unit is elegant. The plastics are of good quality, and overall the materials aren't at all cheap-looking despite the low price. It's proof that less can be more.
Ergonomics
The Neovia's ergonomics are average. There are no extras, just a remote control that's fairly large and heavy, but practical. The menus are clear, but they don't offer a lot of adjustments compared to the other models we tested.
Equipment
In addition to the usual equipment, there's a VGA connector and an HF transmitter. But without YUV, DVI, or HDMI, it would be difficult to make this unit HDTV compatible without using a PC.

Calibration of this set showed an obvious lack of color fidelity, visible most of all in the darkest shades. The gamma once again seems to be at fault.
| Black spot | White spot | Contrast |
|---|---|---|
| 2.59 | 237 | 91: 1 |
Again here, the results were disastrous. The white was within the proper brightness range for a TV set, but the black was clearly too bright, resulting in a ridiculously low contrast ratio.
