My Verizon contract is up next month on the 15th... I can't wait to
get a new phone (my current Kyocera is REALLY bad)..

Do you have any recommendations on their current selection of phones
(LG VX6000, CDM8900, SCH a610)??? Are there any plans for new
releases in the next couple of months???

((BTW, I'm one of those kind of guys that likes TONS of "bells and
whistles" on my phone))

Thanks for your opinions!!

Just got v60s, nice phone, very functional, not what you want if you
like bells and whistles.

I talked to a rep yesterday and was told verizon is introducing 50 new
phones this year. Who know?

Thanks Ken...

WOW 50 new phones this year... I'd be happy with one or two really
good choices. Maybe this is the year that Verizon finally catches up
with the competition.

You're all wrong, it's only 25 new phones.

The Dr offers: Verizon is always looking at new phones (Phonescoop.com) but
not all make it onto the approved list. Think 6-12 new phones ever quarter.
The Dr.

Long of it: On the average, you'll find 6-12 new phones every 90 day. Its
technology in action, and EvDO is planned and handsets which support it are
a must. High speed, also means the option of video to your handset. And as
a nit, it is the manufacturers who build phones for Verizon. Pick your
preferred mfg, go to their web site and they may give you a glimmer of
what's to come.

Actually you don't have to wait. There is a +/- period window where
you can upgrade your phone. I'm not sure but I think it is 1 month
before the end of contract date. I did mine 21 days before my
contract was to expire.

Can't help much on the phone as my number one requirment is a tri mode
phone so I went with the LG VX4400B.

The Dr offers: the approved upgrade window is 2 months. You can upgrade
(contract priced phone plus contract renewal) up to 60 days before your
contract is due to expire. If you are outside the 2 month window, suggest
you contact customer service and plead for an exception, which is looked at
on a case-by-case basis. Verizon Wireless is the exclusive authority for
granting an exception. We also like the 4400b as you suggested.

Isn't that 2 month window for a 2 year contract and 1 month window
for a 1 year contract? Or is it a 2 month window for both.
